CONSERVATIVE PARTY: MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE
"Conservative Party is one of the largest political parties which believe in the philosophy of conservatism and continuity in the British Union. They have been there long enough to see that the old ways were the good ways. They try to move with the times but using the principles from yesteryears."
The party has always tried to make decisions in the best interest of its people. Here are some of their policies that are noteworthy and are sure to bring in a sea of change in testing time.
The most noted policy of the Conservative Party has been the opposition towards using a single currency that is the Euro, and continue with the British Pound. They have also opposed against giving the Bank of England the independent control of the interest rates on the grounds that this will put the acceptance of Euro as a currency in motion. They have also shown disapproval of monetary policy being a part of democratic purview. However, it was important to leave the bank independent to maintain inflation and conservative party finally accepted in early 2000.
They have also slashed the income tax top rate to 45% from the ongoing 50% and they are further planning to get it down by 40% in 2014.
The Conservative Party is strictly against the multiculturism as a result of labour’s goof up when they open the immigration barriers to other Europeans. They opened flood gates for immigrants and saw a spike of 2.2 million people moving in from other parts of Europe into UK. Due to this reason, there has been a severe strain on the existing residents. Now the party seeks to set the record straight to discourage people from moving in to UK for work and living opportunities.
The Conservative Party has maintained close ties with US ever since the Second World War ended. They have also proposed Pan-African Free Trade agreement to allow free trade between the two and also boost entrepreneurial and self sufficiency across Africa. This is not just with Africa, but the party has been in favour of a free trade policy to boost trade with other countries and maintain business relations.
The Conservative Party will review the current education system and introduce the English Baccalaureate. There has been an increase in the school fees but all the people earning below GBP21, 000 are exempted to pay high school fees. This will encourage parents to educate their kids. Also, should you fail to clear the school; you are exempted to pay the school fees.
David Cameron has been at the forefront of Green policy. There have been proposals to tax all the car parking spots, a stop on the growth of the airport, heavy taxes on cars that have a low petro mileage and curbed advertising on cars. This will reduce the dependence on the cars and increase use of the public transport.
Conservative Party has done a great job in taking the common interest as the focal point of its policies. Come join our Volunteer Task Force today!
